When NEC spin-off, dotData was ready to announce its new US-based presence, it needed a partner that could help it articulate its value proposition and translate that into both a new website and a highly impactful public relations launch. Zer0 to 5ive began the engagement with our Chalk Talk session for positioning and messaging. The session was successful, identifying dotData as the first end-to-end data science automation platform, successfully achieving in days what companies were spending months on. With this as the theme, Zer0 to 5ive developed a website built to position the company as unique, valuable, credible and notable. The team also developed a public relations launch strategy that leveraged the founder’s strong background in data science, the company’s relationship with NEC, and industry trends.
The company launched in late 2018 and from the very start captured the interest of the media. In just over 18 months, dotData has been covered in more than 150 articles, including all of its target trade publications, as well as 10 national and business publications. dotData has also been included in key analyst reports: Leader in Forrester New Wave report and Gartner Hype Cycle, as well as garnering positive coverage by 451 Research, TDWI, and CB Insights, among others. The dotData website launch in March 2019 won a W3 award, as well as strong traffic. Zer0 to 5ive continues to work with dotData and has successfully positioned it an a leader in data science automation, garnering both top-tier clients and significant venture funding.
